Today (3 Aug) marks 50 days since the Grenfell Tower disaster in London began, so I visited the site at the weekend with my Fujifilm X100T. I realised that pictures can’t really do justice to its appearance, which is one of
unbelievable sadness. The more fitting tribute seemed to be the makeshift shrines set up around the site, and the moving nature of the items found there.
Some of these appear to be from caring strangers, others from those who knew the victims personally, with their significance a private one in a public place.
